Founding Partner

Franklin is a Founding Partner of Propel Equity. Previously, Franklin was a Managing Director with Audax Private Equity, where he worked for more than 15 years.

Franklin lives north of Boston with his wife, five kids and two dogs. Although, when possible, he can be found exploring the outdoors in Vermont.

Prior Experience

  • Previously Managing Director with Audax Private Equity; responsible for leading all aspects of investments from sourcing through to exit.

  • Founded Essex Bay Capital (predecessor) in 2021 to pursue control investments across lower-middle market companies, prior to merging with Point A Capital to form Propel Equity.

  • Prior to joining Audax in 2005, Franklin was Interim CFO and Vice President of Corporate Development at Coast Crane Company, then an Audax portfolio company.  Before then, he worked in investment banking, including at Citigroup in New York and London.

  • Completed over 75 acquisitions throughout his career.

  • BA, Middlebury College.  Double major in Russian & East European Studies and Economics

When not on the sidelines of his kids sporting events, Franklin has a passion for travel and loves most things outdoors, including skiing, boating / fishing and golf.
